A clearing code is used to dictate which settlement procedure a payment instruction will be settled in for payment instructions in the Central Bank of Sweden’s, the Riksbank’s, RTGS system. The register of clearing codes is administered by the Riksbank.
Clearing codes are also referred to as Receiver codes (REC-Codes).
