SCT Stand for SEPA Credit Transfer.
The SEPA credit transfer was introduced by the European Payments Council at the beginning of 2008. It is a payment system or rulebook for transferring money between banks within the EU. SCT (called ‘Euro transfer’ in Belgium) is replacing the full range of local euro-denominated payment systems in Europe, both domestic and cross-border.
